September 21 2009: The Stamford Democrats gathered tonight at their Campaign Headquarters on Hope Street to rally for the November Municipal election. A boisterous crowd listened to Mayoral candidate David Martin, who said, "Stamford is at a crossroads." Martin gave credit to the " leadership of the people in this room, who have helped make Stamford a great city to live and work."

July 23, 2009: Before a standing room only crowd, the  Stamford Democratic City Committee unanimously endorsed David Martin as its candidate to run for Mayor this November. At that same meeting the following candidates were endorsed to run for the Boards of Finance and Education:

Board of Finance: Tim Abbazia, John Louizos and Dudley Williams

Board of Education: Polly Rauh and Naomi Chapman-Taylor
